As at Monday April 6, 2020, a total 9,457 cases of COVID-19 have been reported by 51 member states of the Africa Union.
Updates tracked by Africa CDC Media, a chat group by journalists interested in public health issues in Africa, show that no fewer than 442 deaths and 848 recoveries have also been recorded in the continent.
